Rathlin Boathouse & Visitor Centre

Rathlin Boathouse Visitor Centre

MoyleDistrictCouncil purchased the Boathouse, formerly known as the Coastguard Boathouse in 1993, and after renovating the building opened a Visitor Centre in 1994.

For many visitors to the Island the Rathlin Boathouse Visitor Centre is the first port of call, as there is the opportunity to view exhibitions on the history, folklore and geology of the Island. The Boathouse also offers visitors the opportunity to purchase many unique souvenirs, crafts and publications about Island life.

The Rathlin Boathouse Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week  from Saturday 30th March 2013 – Sunday 15th September 2013 (inclusive), 9.30am – 5.00pm. Closed for lunch 1.00 - 1.30pm.  Admission free. Disabled access limited.

For further information about ferry crossings or what to do on Rathlin Island contact Ballycastle Tourist Information Centre on 028 207 62024.
