What is Moyle DPP?
Moyle DPP is a partnership between Moyle District Council and representatives of the local community; consisting of 8 elected members of the council and 7 independent members.
What are the main roles and responsibilities of Moyle DPP?
Moyle DPP has been established to:
- Consult with the community to find out what local policing issues are;
- Assist in the establishment of local policing priorities for the local policing plan, in conjunction with the local PSNI District Commander;
- Act as a general forum for discussion and consultation on matters affecting the policing of Moyle;
- Monitor the performance of the police against the local policing plan; and
- Develop practical ways of gaining the public's cooperation in working with the police to prevent crime and protect the public.
